I hate these rather pretentious sections where you extol the virtues of who you are… So, until I can think of anything better to write, you’ll have to make do with this.
I’m a writer who has a really bad habit of using elipsis far too often.
I read far more than is healthy, and I’m completely addicted to my Kindle.
I have a strange addiction to buying obscure greetings cards – I love reading the messages written on the front of them.
I love cooking – not baking which seems to be the fashion at the moment (yes I can bake but I don’t have a massively sweet tooth). I’m not exactly ‘Masterchef’ quality, but I do make a bitching beef stew. Cooking relaxes me (although that could have something to do with chopping things with knives).
When I’m not reading, I’m working. Having had quite a few different careers, that include technical support and project management, I can now be found working as a Senior User Experience Architect. What that means… go read the user experience section to see what I mean (see over use of an elipsis – warned you).
I am a complete geek and am fluent in nerdic. Some people speak a foreign language, I speak technology.
Rather ashamedly, I’m a HUGE fan of techno and trance music. I say ashamedly, because when I tell anyone I get a lot of sniggers. My thoughts are, don’t laugh at my taste in music until you’ve tried it, otherwise I’ve got every right to laugh at yours (if it’s Spice Girls, Justin Beeeeber, or something similar – prepare for snigger).
Having had a conversation today about what nationality I consider myself… I’m going with British.
I have a cat, called Bash. He’s rather neurotic and incredibly clever at getting what he wants. Yes, I am one of those single females with a cat. I’d rather have a dog, but they’re high(er) maintenance than Bash at the moment. Oh and I take far too many photos of him.
That, is where I’m going to stop for now… any more questions, ‘seek and ye shall find’ – either that or I’ll tell you to bugger off.
